De Stijl Interior Design was founded by Sam Ho and a team of experienced designers, drawing inspiration from the Dutch De Stijl movement.
The studio pursues minimalism and embraces Bauhauss “form follows function” philosophy, balancing practicality with artistic beauty. De Stijl practices a “subtractive” approach, eliminating impractical furniture arrangements, meaningless features, and unnecessary expensive materials.
What does design mean to you?
Design is about balancing creation with aesthetics. When I can transform ideas into reality and effectively meet clients needs, I feel deeply fulfilled. This comes not just from solving problems, but from the pursuit of beauty and the passion for creation.

What was your proudest project in 2025?
The Kornhill project featured a diamond-shaped living room and triangular kitchen. To maximize storage and functionality, I relocated the kitchen into the living area and converted the original triangular space into a walk-in closet. Using curved design, the space became softer and more harmonious.

Whats your design philosophy?
To create unique styles, I set no limits on my design, letting creativity flow freely. I believe each creation is an exploration, drawing inspiration from different cultures, art forms, and life experiences. I try new concepts and techniques, breaking traditions to create something distinct and different.

What drew you into interior design?
My father is an artist. Growing up under his influence, I was exposed to various art forms. Watching his dedication and focus during the creative process, his pursuit of detail and devotion to beauty, sparked my deep interest in art. Over time, I gradually entered the design field.
