What does design mean to you?
Design is a service that embodies both function and aesthetics. Its not just about creating visual appeal, but the art of understanding and meeting client needs. Design should be user-centered, enhancing quality of life through creative solutions and making spaces an extension of self-expression and lifestyle.
What was your proudest project in 2025?
A residential project stands out most. Initially, the client kept telling me they wanted a minimalist space. However, after deeper conversation, we discovered they owned many precious artworks. By skillfully weaving vintage elements into the design, we created a unique and characterful environment that not only reflected the clients taste but breathed new life into the space.
Whats your design philosophy?
My design motto is “form follows function,” emphasizing that design must serve the owners needs. Only after considering spatial function and structure do I apply aesthetics. I believe design gains true value only when grounded in practicality, comprehensively elevating the quality of living environments.
How does your design style reflect your MBTI?
As an ISTP, my design style displays rational and practical qualities. I believe aesthetic presentation is fundamental to design, so I focus heavily on spatial structure and function. I first ensure practicality, then integrate my aesthetic philosophy to form designs that are both functional and beautiful. I think I excel at flexibly responding to design challenges while maintaining a pragmatic attitude to create differentiated design solutions.
