Get ready for an exciting December as DesignInspire returns with its most impressive edition yet.
Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), co-organised with Hong Kong Design Centre, and sponsored by Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA), DesignInspire 2025 will bring global creative elites to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 3 to 6 December.
With the theme “Where Connections Spark Inspiration”, this years event showcases the latest creative concepts, award-winning designs, trending brands, and an expanded lineup of talks, shops, and workshops.

As Hong Kong’s unique business-to-all (B2A) platform for the creative industry, DesignInspire 2025 aims to connect global design elites, provide a platform for communication, collaboration and creative exchange for Hong Kong and the international design community, facilitate industry experts and potential design service users to uncover more business opportunities. Among the key highlights is the expanded edition of Paris Design Week’s iconic event – Maison&Objet.
Maison&Objet returns, bigger and better than ever before
Following its successful debut last year, Maison&Objet’s Hong Kong design experience returns with a fresh identity: “Maison&Objet Intérieurs Hong Kong 2025”. This year’s theme, “Crossroads”, explores the intersection of ideas and cultures through two key sections: Design Factory, a showcase of cutting-edge concepts in spatial design, and Design Showcase, a celebration of global creative visions. An ideal occasion for architects and interior designers to explore the latest global trends in design, lifestyle, and innovative concepts.

Curated by top international designers, Design Factory features four themed pavilions presenting over 200 masterpieces from more than 80 brands worldwide. One standout project is “Living Matters”, curated by Elizabeth Leriche, a French trend hunter, former artistic designer and set designer of Hermès and IKEA. The space presents an immersive journey showcasing curated design pieces and furniture that reflect current global trends.

Another highlight is “Shifted Mirrors: Fragments of a Dreamed East”, curated by Clélie Debehault and Liv Vaisberg, co-founders of COLLECTIBLE. This exhibit unites innovative designers and artists from Europe, Asia, and North America, with settings envisioned by Ann Chan of Hong Kong’s Hero design studio.

Across the hall, Belgian designer Lionel Jadot invites visitors into his experimental hotel suite “Anthropocene Adhocsime”. This otherworldly space features designs crafted from recycled materials, leading visitors to reflect on climate issues.

The Design Factory section also features Thai designer Korakot Armodee’s “Breath of Bamboo” Pavilion, which uses traditional Thai craftsmanship to create a dreamlike space with bamboo, rattan, and paper.

At Design Showcase, visitors can explore eight unique living spaces created by nine leading interior designers, brands, and artisans. Alfred Lam, founder of Hong Kong’s Studio1618, collaborates with Paris-based designer Hubert Le Gall to reimagine a traditional Beijing Siheyuan home through a Parisian lens. The design integrates a courtyard-centered concept into five zones – living, dining, lounging, reading, and gardening. Antique treasures from L’s Where and sculptural pieces by Le Gall add layers of artistry. Celebrated for poetic, sculptural furniture and landmark scenography, Paris-based Hubert Le Gall has been chosen by Ruinart (LVMH) as their Artist of the Year, and has collaborated with Dior, for whom he created a series of objects in porcelain for Dior Maison.

Don’t miss Steve Leung’s immersive art space “Connect,” a bamboo structure embodying the Eastern philosophy of “humble yet principled” while showcasing bamboo’s potential in future design.

Another major highlight is international design maestro Alan Chan’s “BOTTEGA HONG KONG” Pavilion, where he envisions a fusion of Italian grocery stores (alimentari) with Hong Kong traditional tuck shops “stores”. This space adopts an “open box” architectural concept, blending the visual languages of East and West while highlighting convenience, affordability and grab-and-go simplicity.

The pavilion will showcase East–West aesthetics through food, lifestyle goods and artisanal crafts, bringing together design entities from Hong Kong and Italy, including anothermountainman, Hong Kong’s legendary designer; Didi Ng, Loewe Foundation Craft Prize 2025 finalist; Moroso, one of the most famous high-end Italian furniture brands; Lucia Massari, designer of Dolce & Gabbana Casa’s Animalier vases series; Fabio Bardi, Tatler Dining’s Best Pastry Chef winner 2024; David Leung, food artist photographer; presenting a profound exchange of craftsmanship and culture, a must visit for designers to take home new inspirations and ideas.
