Established in 2007, Hei Design Interiors specialises in one-stop interior design and bespoke furniture services. Designer Cynthia Chong emphasises the importance of detail. She believes that only through meticulous attention to every element can design truly express its essence, resonate deeply with users, and create spaces that genuinely move people. 

What does design mean to you? 

Design means the perfect combination of creativity and function. Design isnt merely pursuing visual beauty, more importantly, its solving problems, enhancing quality of life, and conveying emotion and messages. Good design transforms imagination into tangible reality, letting users experience the difference details make in daily life. 

What was your proudest project in 2025? 

My proudest project was LP10. The renovation and design process wasnt easy. After numerous communications and revisions, we finally reached consensus with the client. Achieving a work the client was satisfied with brought the greatest sense of accomplishment. 

How does your design style reflect your MBTI? 

As an INFP (Mediator), my design style fully embodies internal sensitivity and idealism. This personality type naturally possesses rich creativity and values uniqueness, making me more inclined to incorporate personalised elements in design, giving each space a unique story and vitality. “Empathy” is the core of my creation. Im committed to deeply understanding users true needs and emotions, realizing their vision of ideal living through design. Combined with my emphasis on communication, I can clearly convey design concepts, ensuring works balance aesthetics and practicality optimally. 

What do you do in your free time? 

In busy work life, focusing on “me time” is crucial. During this time I completely relax, perhaps quietly thinking, doing artistic creation, or walking in nature. These activities not only release stress but also let creativity flow again, injecting new inspiration into the next design.
