Located within the landmark One Bangkok mixed-use precinct adjacent to Lumphini Park, Andaz One Bangkok is defined less by overt luxury than by cohesive storytelling.
Inspired by Thai heritage, local history, and contemporary urban life, the hotel uses texture, palette, curated art, and spatial circulation to reshape how guests rest and connect. Its site—poised between metropolitan energy on one side and verdant parkland on the other—provides the primary conceptual anchor.

Bangkok-based studio PIA Interior led the interior design, weaving public areas, guest suites, and wellness facilities into a seamless spatial journey. Centred around a “Vertical Neighbourhood” framework, the design team drew inspiration from local alleyways and mid-century Thai architecture, translating vernacular elements into refined, modern detailing that balances urban discipline with lush landscape vistas.

The narrative begins at reception, where curated art functions as an integral architectural element rather than superficial embellishment. Contemporary Thai artist Pinaree Sanpitak’s Pocket of Nature graces the wall, its organic forms evoking breath, nature, and bodily resonance.

The lobby establishes the vertical hierarchy through the concept of an “Urban District.” At the arrival threshold, forged metal screens with pierced apertures cast dappled shadows reminiscent of park trees, creating a gradual transition from streetscape to sanctuary. Within the Gallery Alley, an expansive white canvas unfolds underfoot with marble flooring inspired by the tactile quality of Bangkok sidewalks. Arched corridors, curved ceiling profiles, and bespoke iron grilles subtly reinterpret the window lattices of historic shophouses, anchoring contemporary geometries in local memory.

Artistic expression deepens with Blockwilt, a wool-tufted textile piece by artist Ploenchan “Mook” Vinyaratn. Utilizing high-saturation hues and recycled yarns, the tapestry maps radio circuits and urban street grids in tribute to Wireless Road’s legacy as the site of Thailand’s first radio transmission mast.

Adjacent to the lobby, the 24-hour Andaz Lounge offers an inviting social living room defined by sculptural seating and a vintage piano, shifting seamlessly from morning coffee to evening cocktails.
The Andaz Terrace extends this experience outdoors, featuring open-air dining framed by views of the adjacent tree canopy. On the same level, the all-day venue Jing serves breakfast against a panoramic backdrop of Lumphini Park, integrating the natural scenery directly into the morning culinary ritual.

In the guest rooms, PIA Interior curated an earthy palette of ochre, mustard gold, and azure, celebrating Thai identity while avoiding literal motifs. Mid-century modern silhouettes are softened by radiused corners, tailored millwork, and local fine-art photography, balancing contextual character with intuitive residential comfort.

Generous floor-to-ceiling glazing frames the park canopy, positioning greenery as the primary visual layer. Practical appointments—from walk-in wardrobes and concealed valet hooks to generously proportioned bathrooms with standalone soaking tubs—create an effortless private retreat, elevated by custom Byredo amenities.

Ascending to the 23rd floor, seafood restaurant Piscari introduces a distinct experiential dimension designed by Paradigm Shift Studio. Conceived as a “wooden yacht suspended in the sky,” the venue merges the relaxed charm of a Mediterranean supper club with the dramatic backdrop of Bangkok’s skyline. Warm timber, local bamboo detailing, vibrant sea-toned accents, and soft atmospheric lighting define the dining room by day before shifting into an energetic lounge as night falls.

Meanwhile, the 7th-floor wellness terrace features an infinity pool overlooking the cityscape, flanked by a fully equipped fitness centre and gold-tiled saunas that offer restorative calm within the bustling metropolis.

Andaz One Bangkok balances design character with functional domestic warmth, serving as a compelling showcase for contemporary Thai design. By choreographing tranquil moments amid Bangkok’s dense urban fabric, the property offers guests an authentic, grounded home away from home.
