Nowadays, modern gentlemen and women are no longer viewing stylish homes as afterthoughts; but try peeking inside the abode of any young urban dweller, and you are likely to find a space as stylish and meticulously put together as their owner.
This is apparent in this suavely designed bachelor pad of a young jet-setting Spanish professional, who used to travel to Latvia a lot for work. He bought this brand new high-rise unit in Ukraine and immediately tapped Olha Akulova Design to turn it into a stylish yet cosy haven in which he can not only spend time alone rejuvenating from work, but also have friends over for a dinner parties and gatherings.
The homeowner especially loves the industrial-style aesthetic, of which the design team beautifully incorporates into the home’s concrete cement ceilings, wide windows and plenty natural materials that fill the interiors, such as oak and elm, which can be seen on the wall as well as the kitchen island. It is especially finished with a rustic gold layer which complements the more raw, stuccoed surfaces elsewhere in the home.
Naturally, the home has no shortage of smart home elements that would satisfy any tech-savvy young bachelor, ranging from automatically controlled temperature to smart security, light and television systems. In the bedroom - which is partitioned with sleek glass and connected to the guest room - smart curtains from Designers Guild features the Black Out function that can completely block out sunlight. The guest room is equally elegant; a long white partition subtly separate the space with the living room, while the closet area doubles as a television wall complete with a fireplace. The design also features automated lighting and water systems to take smart living to the next level.
