Launched in 2011 in Shanghai, Kerry Hotels’ Hong Kong property opened this April in Hung Hom Bay. The new Kerry Hotel is 16-storeys, set with both business and meeting services as well as distinctive facilities promoting healthy living and a variety of dining options. Holding 546 rooms and featuring a sweeping view of the Victoria Harbour, the interiors are conceived by renowned designer Andre Fu. Guests can expect fluid designs with extensive outdoor landscaped gardens weaving through the hotel space.

Making the most of its harbour side location, much of the interior – including over half the rooms – feature floor to ceiling windows offering panoramic views. Materials such as marble and bronze are used throughout for a classically luxurious feel. The hotel is also peppered with intriguing details from an onyx marble wall leading to the grand staircase to bespoke lighting in each room, not to mention the thousand artworks sourced from all lover Asia that adorn its walls.

You don’t have to book in a staycation to enjoy the hotel’s ambiance, though. Instead, consider stopping in for a meal or a drink at one of Kerry Hotel’s many restaurants and bars. Signature restaurant Hung Tong serves up contemporary Chinese cuisine and features an industrial interior with exposed brick work that reflects the Hung Hom Bay area’s rich shipyard history. In contrast, the Lobby Lounge is furnished in soft hues of mauve, bronze, grey and marble, and its guests can enjoy local nostalgic dishes and Asian-inspired cocktails. Big Bay Café, meanwhile, provides all-day dining, serving everything from international cuisine to light refreshments. Dockyard is Kerry Hotel’s more casual dining spot, while Red Sugar, the hotel’s bar, boasts a wraparound terrace where guests can indulge in cocktails and nightly live music performances while taking in unbeatable views.
