The firm’s design for lifestyle magazine Kinfolk’s new office in Copenhagen epitomises this philosophy through an intriguing fusion of Japanese and Danish aesthetics. Using natural colours and textures, they have created a minimal but detailed space with tactile qualities in-keeping with the slow living ethos of the company.

A series of floor to ceiling doors give the illusion of height, while also allowing for harmonious movement from the simple open plan spaces to small intimate rooms done up in a more classical Copenhagen style. Finishing touches like Japanese-inspired tokonoma nooks in the walls, Danish bespoke wooden tables and textured plaster maintain a perfect balance between organic and precise design. This careful curation of the space infuses a minimalist aesthetic that reflects the simple and stylish sensibility of its inhabitants.
