With a stunning interior done by the award-winning Robert Angell Design International, Aqua’s new home is poised to become another culinary destination in town.
One of Hong Kong’s most famous dining hotspots for over 21 years, Aqua is known for its stunning design as much as its incredible views and beautifully presented cuisine.
Its new home on the 17th floor of the H Zentre in Tsim Sha Tsui, right next to The Peninsula and The Sheraton hotels, takes the brand to a new height, wowing patrons with awe-inspiring views across the Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong’s cityscape and two expansive outdoor terraces.
The new design is a collaboration between award-winning designer Robert Angell from London and Aqua Restaurant Group’s Founder David Yeo. “Aqua” means “water” in Latin and it’s little wonder the duo is taking inspiration from water itself.
“We have taken our concept from the rich history of Hong Kong as a trading city and its rich cultural traditions in craftsmanship,” said Angell. “This, combined with its location overlooking the world’s largest natural harbour, and using the water and Aqua as our true inspiration, which in its many forms can evolve into colour, light and dark, tone and texture.”
Weaving throughout the space is the interplay of textures, with unique rippling light features pairing with gold and blue finishes to create an aquatic theatrical glamour.
