Located at the Ritz Carlton in New York City, Zaytinya fuses a light and neutral scheme of warming bronze metals and white oak woods, against the blissful cyan blue colour of Mediterranean waters.
Zaytinya is a new restaurant helmed by two-star Michelin Chef José Andrés. Celebrating the chef’s vast knowledge of Mediterranean cuisine, the result is an innovative, multi-sensory culinary experience that captures the warm spirit of the region.
Rockwell Group’s design for the restaurant situated integrates the blissful cyan blue colour of pristine Mediterranean waters. A light and neutral scheme of warming bronze metals and white oak woods create a strong contrast against the brighter blue hues, along with pattern detailing and specially commissioned artwork.
Architectural finishes are kept as neutral as possible to offset these elements of texture and pattern in the upholstered banquettes and at the bar. On the ceiling, exposed wood beams are interspersed with acoustic linen-textured panels, creating a sense of rhythm throughout the space.
