Simplicity is the keytone of all true elegance, said Coco Chanel. It’s a philosophy that Denise Ho abides by; her industrial-inspired flat, with concrete and wood-plank flooring, white walls and black accents, serves as a monochromatic backdrop for the creative professional to work and entertain.
It’s challenging for Denise to keep her living space pared down given the nature of her job. Oftentimes, the stylist sources and plans outfits for large casts, such as her latest project, which involved styling 65 people for an outdoor photo shoot. Ample storage space and romping room to organise garment racks are of prime importance.
My living space is connected to my kitchen; my books, my music and all my styling things are around me. Everything is together, and I have empty space to throw things around when I’m working, says Denise.
A quick tour of Denise’s walk-in wardrobe and show closet reveals a carefully curated selection of well-crafted pieces that are timeless and elegant. Her simple and sustainable approach to fashion isn’t limited to her chic ensemble; it also permeates into the design of her personal space, her work and into every facet of her life.
