Make It Works (MIW)'s design team revamped their office space to highlight the company's fundamental values and vision.
Known for its creative distinctive spatial designs, MIW is focused on creating visually captivating and highly-functioning spaces. The team works closely with clients to turn their ideas into reality. The MIW office acts as the first impression for clients, showcasing a beautiful and practical setting that expertly combines design aesthetics, lifestyle influences, and cutting-edge technology. This exemplifies MIW's exceptional design skills and professionalism.
MIW's office is designed to be a vibrant workspace that reflects the brand's unique personality and design skills. The layout of the office combines areas for work and relaxation, including social spaces, open work areas and functional zones to encourage teamwork and client interaction. The overall design concept aims to bring the brand's ethos to life, allowing visitors to experience the "Make It Works attitude" through the office decor.
The office occupies 2,500 square feet, with a spacious layout. More than one-third of the space is dedicated to social areas such as the entrance, lounge area, unique tea room, long table conference room, and multipurpose room, allowing employees to easily collaborate and interact with each other.
Furthermore, a one-of-a-kind meeting space is specifically crafted for clients, with an ambiance that mirrors that of a restaurant, providing a comfortable setting for employees or designers to engage in informal discussions with clients. Simultaneously, it allows clients to immerse themselves in the luxurious surroundings created by MIW.
The communal spaces feature neutral painted walls, complemented by coral red tiles and brass details, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere with minimalist design details.
The open workspace area is primarily in soft beige tones, with no partitions between employees' seats to facilitate work communication. Different types of work desks are used to separate colleagues of different levels efficiently.
The supervisor's office features a unique corrugated glass partition that allows natural light to filter through while maintaining privacy. This design enables supervisors to work privately while still benefiting from the openness of the surrounding workspace.
The entire office is outfitted with a smart system that can be easily controlled through a mobile app, offering flexibility in adjusting lighting modes, dynamic sensing, and command controls at any moment. Clients can experience firsthand the various lighting effects and color temperatures of the smart system's different scene modes.
A key challenge faced in this design project was the requirement for ample storage space for the interior design company. The solution involved crafting a versatile and adaptable open storage area, incorporating hidden movable partitions to effectively conceal inventory or miscellaneous items in a convenient manner.
