After a nationwide hunt, the top three finalists duked it out at TRIBE by Indigo’s showroom at Horizon Plaza, jostling to become the “Face of TRIBE” to represent the new brand.
TRIBE by Indigo, successfully launched this year by home furnishing group Indigo Living Ltd., has been on a social media hunt for a fresh new face to represent the brand’s values: expressing individuality and creativity through trendsetting yet accessible design. The competition was launched back in August, and with the stringent tasks and many votes tallied in, it was the architectural duo Jay Jordan and Christina Standaloft who emerged as the winner.
In the final styling challenge, the three final contestants were given a chance to flaunt their design skills: designing a bare room in 30 minutes with TRIBE and Indigo Living items found around the showroom. Invited to judge the event were four esteemed guests: Jennifer Chan, Managing Editor at Home Journal; Stacey Marcelo, Social Media Editor for Liv Magazine and Jeng Box; Cher Lui, one of Indigo’s Senior Interior Design Manager; and John McLennan, Indigo Living’s Founder, Executive Chairman and CEO.
It was a close call and the other two finalists – Nicole Slater, the Editor-in-Chief at Hong Kong Livings and Yuka Kasey, local singer and songwriter – gave out equally scintillating performances. Officially named the “Face of TRIBE”, Jay Jordan and Christina Standaloft will have the opportunity to model in a TRIBE photoshoot, host the new #TribeTalks video series, and do up their space with $60,000 worth of TRIBE products.
