After tying the knot, a newlywed couple with contrasting loves for wine and tea decided to buy a property in the middle of Hong Kong Island, Tai Hang. The design of their new home caters to each of their distinct tastes and inclinations.
The T.B.C Studio design team was responsible for designing the space, taking into consideration the couple's needs. In the dining room, the husband's wine collection takes centre stage. Black wood grain cabinets and a small bar table made of green marble, creating space for him to unwind with a glass of wine anytime he wants. To make use of every inch of space, the washing machine finds its place tucked away at the base of the bar cabinet.
In contrast to the dining room's dark colour scheme, the living room flaunts an array of light tones that provide contrast with the adjacent space, amplifying its visual allure.
The living room is the wife's domain, her haven for enjoying a cup of tea. The designer put up two shelves on the wall to display her favourite tea sets. Now, whenever she lounges on the sofa, she can enjoy looking at her collection and just relax. Opposite the sofa, the TV wall is coated in Dulux Ambiance Marble Paint, which offers a distinctly artistic colour and texture.
An outdoor terrace attached to the hall offers stunning views of the lush mountains. Cosy chairs were placed near the space to create a relaxing area for the homeowner to unwind after a long day of hustle and bustle.
The bathroom fixtures are from Kohler and Hansgrohe. The design team at T.B.C. Studio pointed out: "This project perfectly showcases the homeowners' passion for wine and tea. The space not only reflects their unique personalities, but also creates a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere where they can enjoy their favourite drinks together."
