Littlemore Interior Design is the force behind this new home of a young couple who works in the airport and have a penchant for collecting aircraft models and photographs.
On top of their passion for aviation, the couple also craves a cosy bar area to enjoy whisky. Before the renovation, the rooms are small and not smartly used: because the living area is way too deep, the home couldn’t make the most of the natural daylight and the views towards the azure coast are largely limited.
Now, all the windows in the revamped 601-sq.ft. apartment fronts the Hong Kong International Airport, affording the couple spectacular scenery of aeroplanes departing and landing on the runway from afar and unobstructed sea view.
The design team also turns the room nearby the living area into a flexible space: a segmented area with a raised platform and sliding screens.
