Could you describe your design philosophy, and how it came about?

Throughout my career, my interior design philosophy has evolved to prioritise the client's needs and aspirations. I believe in being patient and actively listening to my clients, taking the time to understand their preferences, personality, and taste. By doing so, I am able to create spaces that not only enhance their living standards, but also reflect their individuality. I believe that living is like art, where the environment and experiences we encounter shape our personal tastes. In my works, I strive to create spaces that are not only stylistically pleasing, but also meaningful and reflective of the client's unique journey.

Which project(s) are you most proud of this year?

This year, I am most proud of my design for The Horizon, which exemplifies innovation, kid-friendliness, and flexibility while prioritising safety and functionality. This project showcases a combination of minimalism and practicality, fulfilling the client's desire for a comfortable and stylish home that stands out among other projects. It presented numerous challenges, from adapting to the client’s storage needs to accommodating the existing layout. However, through careful planning and creative problem-solving, our team was able to create a space that seamlessly adapts to the family's needs throughout the day, and provides a versatile living experience.

What's your go-to spot that inspires you the most creatively?

After visiting the "Holocaust Memorial" in Berlin, Germany, designed by Peter Eisenman, I found that his work stimulated my creativity and broadened my perspective on how architectural design can affect the public, express feelings, and transform history into a landscape experience. Peter's skillful exploration of details and nuances inspired me to approach design in a similar manner. As an interior designer, I realised the power of immersing people in a rich and detailed experience. I can create spaces that encourage exploration and connection with every corner and element. Inspired by Peter’s work, I began to appreciate the importance of paying attention to the smallest details in my designs. The texture of materials, the play of scale and colour, and the carefully selected furniture – all of these elements contribute to the narrative and evoke emotions within a space. I aim to create environments that resonate on a deeper level and truly reflect their identities.
