Could you describe your design philosophy, and how it came about?
My design philosophy is rooted in the belief that every home should reflect its owner's aspirations, whether it’s a grand residence or a small, cosy home. I believe great design should elevate daily experiences and life quality. It's important that clients feel heard and involved throughout the process.
Which project(s) are you most proud of this year?
I am incredibly proud of the villa project nestled in Jade Grove, Tuen Mun. Inspired by Maldivian vacation villas, this exquisite four- storey luxury residence is crafted to be an oasis of sophistication, offering the family a daily escape to rejuvenate and enjoy leisurely moments. This project beautifully showcases our expertise in achieving design harmony through a rich tapestry of materials, colours, textures, and structures.
What's your go-to spot that inspires you the most creatively?
Luxury commercial spaces, whether it's a high-end boutique, an opulent hotel lobby, or a stylish lounge, are my go-to sources of inspiration. What truly excites me is the opportunity to translate these grand ideas into more intimate residential settings. It’s like a creative puzzle – finding ways to adapt and scale down those luxurious elements without losing their essence, while taking the functionality and practicality of everyday living spaces into consideration.
What's next for your company?
I am excited about the future as we envision expanding our business to the international stage. This strategic move is not just about business growth, it's about absorbing diverse cultural creativity, nurturing our design team's vision, and broadening their horizons. We've noticed an increasing number of Hong Kong and Mainland Chinese individuals spreading their roots worldwide. This presents a wonderful opportunity for us to help them realise their dream homes overseas, ensuring smooth communication while gathering the strength of the overseas community. Our journey began this year with the establishment of a remote office in Shenzhen. We're gaining invaluable experience that will prepare us for even more adventurous projects in the South Asia region, and beyond.
