Situated in Royal Peninsula, Hung Hom, this contemporary penthouse by Grande Interior Design boasts an impressive 1,787 square feet and boasts a striking design.
The space is elevated by its expansive floor-to-ceiling windows and soaring ceiling. Natural light takes centre stage in this penthouse, as the designer masterfully incorporates it to enhance the overall ambiance. The colour scheme is sleek and modern, with clean lines guiding the layout. Light wood accents and white hues create a sense of unity throughout the space.
The living room is a stunning display of functionality and style. Spotlights adorn the ceiling, providing ample lighting options for different moods and activities. The furniture pieces, crafted from natural materials, add a touch of nature to the space. A TV feature wall showcases wooden cabinets, adding depth to the minimalist aesthetic.
In the dining room, a minimalist black-bronze pendant light serves as a focal point and effectively divides the space. Bronze details on the back wall create an elegant layered effect. The open bar area seamlessly connects the dining room to the kitchen, ensuring a smooth flow between the two spaces.
On the other side of the penthouse, a versatile entertaining room awaits. With a double-level layout, the lower level serves as a family entertainment area, complete with a TV and flexible seating. The upper level functions as a sleeping area, providing accommodations for guests when needed.
To harmonise with the bustling urban landscape outside, the designer, Maggy, chose a minimalist style that effortlessly complements the surroundings. The clean lines, sleek alignments and neutral colour palette create a modern and sophisticated aesthetic. Natural light is strategically incorporated throughout the design, enhancing the overall atmosphere.
The challenge of the penthouse's long living and dining room layout was brilliantly addressed by Maggy through the use of furniture to create distinct functional areas. The incorporation of white and grey tones fosters a cosy atmosphere, while clearly defining the purpose of each area. Pet-friendly flooring tiles were thoughtfully chosen to accommodate the family's furry companion.
In the pursuit of maintaining the penthouse's pristine condition, Maggy replaced the original stairs with wooden materials. This decision not only adds to the overall aesthetic, but also makes maintenance easier. To maximise storage space, full-height cabinets were strategically placed between the stairs, in the master bedroom, study room and closet.
