With flagships in design-oriented cities that include New York, London, Paris and Hong Kong and numerous awards to its name, Molteni&C|Dada is globally reputed for timeless furniture that exudes authentic Italian style and craftsmanship.
Dada’s speciality is the kitchen, which it articulates with fitted elements and modular pieces and imbues with modernity via innovative designs, the masterful use of materials and compositional prowess. Many of Dada’s premier kitchens are designed in collaboration with expert designers, such as Dante Bonuccelli, who brings an architectural aesthetic based on concrete research and new concepts to his work.
For Tivali, the Argentinian designer utilises an exclusive, patented Dada mechanism that enables large cabinet doors to slide, fold and disappear into side compartments so that the box kitchen can be opened and then hidden away with a light, fluid movement. In the revolving column, the mechanism is used on two baskets that rotate 360° for optimal accessibility and use of space.
In the Vela kitchen, Bonuccelli introduces a new hinged door opening mechanism – which is hidden behind overlapping worktops – that allows doors to rotate in a particular way. Layered materials, different types of handles, finger recesses and mechanical or electric push-pull opening systems are some of the customisable options.
VDD, the debut kitchen from Dada Creative Director, Vincent Van Duysen, highlights the contrast between slim side and end units and the thickness of worktops, which feature stone sink basins.
A juxtaposition of natural stone, wood and brushed steel, alongside baltic green, titan and pewter-lacquered finishes commingle to striking effect. Solid and open elements, as well as pull-out trays, transparent glass cupboards with soft-closing micro-hinges, and LED illuminated door handle provide practical convenience.
The Armani/Dada Bridge invites interaction between the kitchen and living/dining area. Designed by Giorgio Armani, this fashionable kitchen is comprised of a central structure and a bridge element above the worktop that houses wall units, hood and lighting. This is accompanied by freestanding pantry and refrigeration units.
Stainless steel and natural stone worktops, sucupira and oak wood exteriors and interiors, and a choice of glass, lacquered or woven textured bronze doors give the kitchen a contemporary aesthetic.
An in vogue look also applies to Armani/Dada Checkers. Conceived for large spaces, the kitchen unites natural woods, exclusive lacquers and textured, multi lined back-painted glass with a natural stone worktop.
Wall units above the worktop that contain shelves and hood are fronted by sliding doors that form a checkered pattern when closed. LED lighting in the bottom of the wall units and under the worktop impart a cool allure.
