This Repulse Bay villa offers breathtaking mountain views, serene sea vistas and ample living space spanning 2,000 square feet. The owners' affinity for sophisticated living is reflected in the luxurious, bespoke design underponned by celever of different marbles. "We drew inspiration from the refined experiences of five-star hotels, using earthy colours and mixing in high-end materials like marble and steel to create a sense of luxury and sophistication," Ian Ngai, Chief Designer of Apollo Design HK stated. "We made sure to coordinate the marble and wallpaper patterns to make everything flow together smoothly."

The homeowners, a couple with three children, desired a luxurious, well-lit home, with a sense of grandeur. The overall design of the home adopts a calm and luxurious style, featuring extensive use of marble and metal details to create a luxurious flair, complemented by the gentle curves on the ceiling throughout. The polished marble flooring showcases natural grey textures, adding rich visual layers and an air of sophistication against the predominantly white background. The entrance floor features lighter tones and stone mosaic patterns, creating a visual effect likened to a carpet.

Design team ADO Casa stated: "This design employs the style of Modern Classicism, with furniture with curved lines as the predominant architectural language. This not only enhances the coherence of different areas, but also ensures safety for children and elderly." In the living and dining room, white wood is used as the main material for furnishings, along with brass steel and pandora marble to create a simple yet luxurious style in the space.

A light colour scheme and a collection of eclectic furniture pieces give this Shek Tong Tsui residence a warm and sophisticated personality that mirrors that of its tenants. “It’s all about harmony and the coming together of disparate pieces to create a cohesive, beautifully conceived home," says Yuki To. The main living area, awash in ample sunlight through its floor- to-ceiling windows, brings in a mix of classic and modern elements. There are the avant-garde pieces injecting into the space a touch of whimsy: the white Anglepoise Giant Original 1227; and the Timothy Oulton’s Odeon Marble pendant hung atop the dining table, which plays with a classic design using translucent ingots of white marble in lieu of glass crystals.
