When the homeowners decided to renovate their 798-square-foot loft in Tai Wai, they had a clear vision in mind. As social butterflies, they dreamt of transforming their space into a warm and inviting haven, perfect for hosting gatherings.
To realise their vision, they enlisted the expertise of Starz Pasha to transform their loft from a blank canvas into a chic, functional entertaining haven. Inspired by the homeowner's hand-painted bear artwork in the bedroom, Starz Pasha skilfully integrated bear elements throughout the space, resulting in a cohesive and charming design. A soothing palette of grey tones, ranging from light to dark, sets the tone for a calm and peaceful atmosphere.
A playful touch is cleverly incorporated through whimsical door handles designed to resemble bear paws, while the pièce de résistance is undoubtedly the striking circle motif, reminiscent of a bear's face, which takes centre stage and sets the tone for the entire space. The walls were painted in a space grey art paint to mimic the feeling of the bear artwork, where the bear is being lifted by balloons.
The living room's seamless layout blurs the lines between lounge, kitchen, and dining areas, crafting a fluid space that redefines the norms of home life. The open kitchen invites the gaze towards the dining table, encouraging lingering meals and convivial gatherings.
The sleek, black floating staircase provides a dramatic backdrop to the whimsical bear-inspired accents, amplifying the loft's distinctive charm. Starz Pasha also constructed a triangular glass stairhood. Given the structural requirements, Starz Pasha had to obtain permission from the Building Department to ensure the sizing of the stairhood matched the original structure precisely.
Upstairs, the rooftop beckons, perfect for hosting lively gatherings beneath the open sky. This alfresco haven is thoughtfully outfitted, featuring a grill and beer machine – the perfect setup for entertaining with ease.
