Unique Interior Design and Décor Co. Ltd. remodel a 675-sq.ft. apartment in Taiwan for a gentleman and his feline companion.
According to the team, the first task is reshaping the home into an open-plan flat, making great use of the expansive windows to bring natural light in. Now, the living/dining room is basked in swathes of sunlight.
The space is designed with a modern style, with calming shades of grey, black and white as the main palette. The living room is painted wall-to-wall in white; the slash-design with black paint and neat lines instil the space with tons of personality.
The TV wall is part of a hidden door concealing the entrances to the master bedroom and the bathroom – a tried-and-tested tactic to expand the size and width of the living room.
Initially, there’s a grey glass door dividing up the study and living room. Considering the residence only lives a gentleman and his cat, the design team deftly integrates the rest area for the cat and cat tree into the study.
Into the master bedroom, the wall behind the bed-frame is hand-painted with mineral paint and warm lightings to soften up the ambience. The straight, horizontal and slash lines are there to expand the sense of space.
