Situated in Porto, Portugal, BOAVISTA 339 is a visionary residential building project by Paulo Merlini Architects.
Designed to maximize space and natural light on a uniquely small and narrow plot, this development showcases the firm’s commitment to innovative urban living solutions. The building features a range of studio and one-bedroom apartments, utilising smart architectural designs such as central stairwells and elegant concrete arches to enhance the living experience.
The project incorporates a mix of single-level and duplex units, a commercial space on the ground floor, and a cozy patio, all within a compact 88m2 footprint. By placing the stairwell centrally, the design frees up the façades, allowing for optimal natural light to flood the interiors. The elegant concrete arches not only add aesthetic value but also create a sense of spatial amplitude, making the apartments feel more expansive.
BOAVISTA 339 blends modern efficiency with historical charm, reflecting Porto’s rich architectural heritage. Flowerbeds and small balconies provide privacy and comfort, seamlessly integrating natural elements into the urban fabric. This thoughtful design approach ensures that each unit is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
By reinterpreting traditional architectural elements with a contemporary twist, Paulo Merlini Architects have created a building that stands as a testament to smart design and architectural elegance. BOAVISTA 339 offers residents a unique and sophisticated living experience in the heart of Porto.
