This commodious apartment on Tai Po Road is the stuff of dreams for the wellness-conscious.

Perched along Tai Po Road, this 3,761 sq ft residence by Liquid Interiors is designed with the wellbeing of multiple generations in mind. A spacious five-bedroom and six-bathroom layout, floor-to-ceiling windows frame sweeping mountain vistas, and classic arched openings lead to a wraparound balcony. It's a proper sanctuary meant for multi-generational living, well removed from Hong Kong's urban bustle.

"For this family, mindfulness was paramount," notes Rowena Gonzales of Liquid Interiors. "We wanted to create a space that was private and discreet, yet beautiful and meaningful." Dubbed The Jewellery Box, the project is a thorough renovation from top to bottom marked by jewel tones with pops of sparkling colours.

A discreet button in the hallway reveals a secret door to the family's prayer room. The classic arched windows open onto a generous balcony, washing the living and dining area with natural light through uninterrupted mountain views. The colourful entertainment room features an emerald green chaise longue, convertible to a sofa bed, facing a cinema-scale television. A plush area rug adds tactile comfort to movie nights.

Particular attention was also paid to transitional spaces. The staircase, topped with a skylight, transforms into what Gonzales calls "a peaceful journey" during daylight hours. "We wanted to make the experience of going up and down the storeys a special experience."

The grandparents' suite commands the entire second floor. Here, oriental motifs and stork-adorned feature walls nod to Chinese heritage. The space opens to a private terrace, while bedside pendants in burnt orange, mustard and pink echo the jewellery box theme that inspired the overall design.
