A brand’s flagship store is the crown jewel of its identity. Walk into a flagship store and you’ll immediately glean what that brand is all about. Belgian luxury leather brand Delvaux has gone above and beyond with its recently opened worldwide flagship boutique in Brussels. Titled Le 27, the store’s design combines the historical grandeur of the building – a former private maison – with sleek, modern sensibilities.

Step through the portico gates into the multi-storey boutique and you’re immediately greeted by a sweeping spiral staircase. The 200-year-old heritage brand’s creations are displayed alongside 20th century Belgian design pieces by the likes of Alain Berteau, Nathalie Dewez and Ben Storms. Paintings by Argentine artist Romina Ressia add whimsy against the structure’s backdrop of marble, wrought iron and Italian parquet.
