Designer Rachel Laxer creates most of her interiors according to one simple, signature principle: relaxed elegance. For a London-based client who didn’t want their home’s multiple functions to take away from its sophisticated aesthetic, Rachel subtly installed wheels into the furniture for easy mobility, allowing the 4,00sqft space to be transformed into the perfect venue for an evening soiree. The sleek abode is also blessed with abundant natural light, thanks to the large number of windows.

By utilising the environment, Rachel successfully created a home to relax and to entertain.
The hall is decorated with a Promemoria lamp and chairs from B&B Italia.
Above the living and dining area is the monochrome study area.
A striking, solid dining table is surrounded by chairs with transparent backs and leg, adding visual interest.
A Vitra desk chair, armchairs from Flexform and a Maxalto desk mingle in the private study area.
A bathroom wall is covered in glossy black mosaic and decorated with a distinctive art piece.
A bedroom adorned in moody hues and sensual textures.
Another bedroom contrasts with the first with light shades, such as the Elitis wallpaper and a headboard covered in Edelman leather.
