There are always surprises to be found in Milan. Hidden in a residential area behind an unremarkable façade is a space rooted in history with intriguingly refined interiors. This is the home of Patrizia Tenti, a gallery owner originally from Arezzo who now lives in Milan.
Patrizia notes that her home and gallery are two separate worlds, each reflecting different aspects of her personality. Her home is a place where her passions shine – especially her love of music, which was solidified during her first visit to London when she was 14 years old.
Patrizia also felt a deep-rooted affinity for the avant-garde and conceptual Radical period of architecture. While studying the subject in Florence, she came in contact with professors of the movement, such as Gianni Pettena and Remo Buti. So it’s not by chance that the centre of her living area is dominated by a black and white Superonda sofa, with a Sanremo lamp close by – both pieces were designed at the end of the 1960s for the Archizoom group.
