Home can always heal and comfort us; this contemporary home to two is a place to do just that.
Done by CNS Interior Design, a modern loft-style unit in Kowloon Tong Mansion in Ho Man Tin has been renovated and redesigned to suit the living needs of its owners. The space is dominated by white and grey, the wood veneer, cement art paint, terrazzo floor tiles, elegant dolomite wall tiles and light-coloured wood flooring accenting the simplicity and elegance of the space.
A former three-bedroom home, the 1,800-square-foot abode is currently occupied by a couple. That’s what prompted the design team to reconfigure it into two bedrooms with large windows to maximise the airiness. Given the main pillar in the living room blocks most of the vision, they were painted with cement art, which successfully turns the drawback into what becomes a distinctive feature. At the same time, the design team transformed the full-height mirror finish into a cabinet with a door, thereby introducing more natural light into the space.
Hung on the ceiling are dark light troughs and spotlights; the owners can adjust lighting tones and effects as they wish.
An open-plan kitchen is where the owners can enjoy fun cooking and get-together with family and friends.
