Say bonjour to inspiring interiors that reflect the appeal of French living with the Éternel Parisian Apartment.
There are few things that appeal to modern society more than Parisian style, especially when it comes to our homes’ interior decor. The city's impressive fashion, culture and design scene translates into interiors that just have a certain je ne sais quoi about it. This elegant home sitting in the 8th Arrondissement of Paris is one such example.
Designed by The Studio Home’Society and Brabbu, the aptly named Éternel Parisian Apartment merges contemporary and classic designs to create a modern yet unique look. The entryway welcomes you in warmly with a nature-based colour palette as the black ARDARA console table in a Sahara Noir faux-marble glossy finish grabs your attention. Next to it are two earth-toned velvet chairs that sit under brass wall lights and a stylish black lacquer mirror.
Entering into the living room, bright white walls draw attention to the detailed crown moulding. The classic Parisian living room is decorated with furniture pieces in different shades of green, brown and beige for a calm, relaxing and uncluttered atmosphere. Oodles of art enrich the walls on one end of the living room, while a chandelier from NAICCA dangles from the ceiling. The dining room continues with the nature theme, where a forest green marble table top pairs perfectly with custom-made CAYO purple, cotton velvet dining chairs.
The kitchen is inspired by the first flower to bloom in spring, primrose, reflecting the personality of the vibrant young lady who owns the place. Combining elegance and functionality, blending the green marble countertop and herringbone parquet floor is set against aged brass cabinets and appliances. The design team created a social space in the curved kitchen corner, in front of the classic French floor-to-ceiling windows. The bottle green cotton velvet HERA dining sofa with its throw pillows and sofa throw creates the perfect space for deep meaningful chats over casual brunches.
For the office space, the homeowner wanted a room where she could travel all over the world through books. Therefore, a custom-made built-in open bookcase, inspired by the BARAKA collection, was installed to provide storage for collected treasures, art and books.
Overall, Home’Society and Brabbu made use of the apartment’s beautiful bones – walls with French detailing, windows that let in plenty of natural light – paired with neutral colours, classic meets modern and functional décor to create a home that is the epitome of Parisian style.
