COMODO Interior & Furniture Design is the force behind the renovation of this soothing 2,483-sq.ft. apartment in Hong Kong’s south side.
Located in the southern part of Hong Kong, this 2,483-sq.ft. apartment at Grand Garden fronts the South Bay and is surrounded by a tranquil landscape. COMODO Interior & Furniture Design rearranges the original four-bedroom layout into three bedrooms, along with an audio room and an expanded guest bathroom.
The apartment is dominated by different shades of grey and curated materials. The wood slat features, natural stone such as Mutina’s Phenomenon and Taratti ceramics tiles, and the furniture’s bold colour conjure up a distinct visual hierarchy.
The living room’s open layout takes full advantage of the abundant natural light and exudes a sense of intimacy. The pendant light in hung above the dining table instills the space with an understated glamour. At the reading corner, children can slide out the moveable drawers, take out and put back their toys and books.
There’s also a state-of-the-art audio room with soundproofing gears: all the walls are covered with a wooden partition equipped with sound insulation material and fabric. The design also included a rug to soften the sound and reduce reflections. The subtle modern atmosphere with soft light earth tones brings minimalism and lightness to the master bedroom; whereas thematic wallpaper, colorful dot handles and feature tiles brighten up the children’s bedroom.
