The owner of this Ap Lei Chau home is a single gentleman who studied in the UK and works in finance. As such, TBC Studio selected "Gentlemen's Lifestyle" as the primary theme to emphasise the owner's refined British way of life and showcase the space's adaptability.
The 596 square foot unit in Ap Lei Chau features predominantly white walls, paired with navy blue and European-style floral patterns that extend from the living room to the bedroom. The modern lighting fixtures from local British design brand Buster + Punch complement the overall design, resulting in a clean, simple and elegant modern British gentleman style.
The designer incorporated herringbone parquet flooring, with long Russian wooden strips that are diagonally staggered to showcase the intricate texture of the flooring. This approach creates a classical, fashionable, low-key, and slightly artistic visual effect. By adding classically refined European furniture pieces such as a brown leather sofa, a coffee table in the shape of a luggage trunk, and an electric fireplace, the modern and luxurious British style of the living space is thoroughly captured.
