Cameron MacDonald is an Australian designer who’s right on the forefront of luxury development. A former model, he specialises in crafting bespoke turn-key residences of stunning sophistication, as demonstrated by his history of projects across the globe—among them 15 Grosvenor Square in Mayfair and 25 Boulevard de Belgique in Monte Carlo, Monaco. Apart from an unparalleled aesthetic, Cameron also possesses a divine collection of vintage Ferraris.
We speak to Cameron about the places and spaces that inspire him the most:
What project are you most proud of?
My best design to date is the house I just completed in Australia. With my other projects in London and Monaco, the design scope was mainly limited to apartments or terrace homes. For this property, there was a holistic approach to both interiors and exteriors: water features, pools, gardens. A real architectural element was able to be expressed.
Favourite city?
Paris. It is such a beautiful place on a large scale.

Favourite colour?
French navy.
Favourite restaurant?
I always love a home cooked meal, but I have a couple of favourite restaurants around the world. If I had to choose one, it’d be Public Dining at Balmoral Beach overlooking Sydney Harbour.
What are some of your hobbies?
Travelling, dining out, racing cars, cycling, triathlons, and thinking about what else I can do to push the boundaries in design. I suppose most would consider that work, but I just love doing it.
