One of the legendary artist’s earliest works, Jean-Michel Basquiat’s Untitled has been unseen for more than 20 years and is poised to lead Poly Auction Hong Kong’s 10th Anniversary Auctions this July.
Held between 9 and 14 July in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Poly Auction Hong Kong’s 10th Anniversary Auctions is a world-class art feast themed around “Heritage, Diversification and Breakthrough”, offering a diverse range of works by the most influential artists around the world. One of which is American artist Jean-Michel Basquiat’s masterwork Untitled.
Featuring Basquiat’s signature visual symbols with the Black face and the three-pointed crown, Untitled embodies a spirit of power and the artist's unique aesthetic. Having been hidden from public view for more than 20 years, the painting holds an exceptional artistic value and will kickoff Poly Auction Hong Kong’s spectacular 10th-anniversary auctions.
Auction highlights also include works from KAWS, Wayne Thiebaud, Adrian Ghenie, and Zhou Chunya, whose unique visual language has been exhibited at major institutions over the world and garnered attention among international collectors.
