After opening two restaurants – May Chow’s neighbourhood gastropub Second Draft and Three Monkeys’ casual eatery BOND – last year, design complex Little Tai Hang is launched its eponymous upscale boutique hotel and serviced apartments at the end of last month.
The quirky yet sophisticated residence is the brainchild of architect and cultural advocate Tommy Watari Pao, and is perfect for design-loving travellers seeking a hotel with an authentic personality.
Little Tai Hang’s 91 rooms and two restaurants offer guests a genuine Hong Kong cultural experience, with several local dining, living and design brands under one roof. Elegant and understated bespoke interiors in muted jewel tones highlight views of Victoria Park and the harbour, as well as the Lin Fa Kung Temple and lush mountains to the south.

It’s clear the hotel is a labour of love, from its playful hand-drawn logo to luxurious architectural delights like light-filled corner bathrooms. In addition to a variety of studios and suites, with up to two bedrooms, it also has a fitness room, a lounge, a laundry room and a function room.
The lifestyle destination is a charming addition to the Tai Hang neighborhood. Its quaint streets, full of artisanal cafés and hidden temples, have been familiar to the cool kids for years, but the little district has recently been enjoying a second coming of sorts—as evidenced by its six new luxury residential projects.
