Taking its cue from surrealism and the movement’s exploration of the bridge between fantasy and reality, Finnish home furnishings and fashion brand Marimekko releases its Fall/Winter 2016 home collection – the Siirtolapuutarha (city garden) range. Using eclectic line drawing and flashes of colour, Finnish designer Maija Louekari came up with a vibrant print that depicts the journey from a busy city to a leafy city garden teeming with thriving vegetation. From pieces for the home such as placemats, teapots and cushion covers to personal accessories such as tote bags, the new line encompasses various delightful creations that help create your very own urban oasis at home.
