Glacier Equities reimagines 62 condominium residences within Northern Lights, a pre-war historic gem in Queens.
Built in 1926, the buildings feature expansive pre-war architectural designs, including a private garden oasis in the enclosed courtyard. The revamp introduces a forthcoming new suite of amenities, along with newly re-designed hallways, lobbies and other common areas.
“Northern Lights is a stately development in a vibrant, transit-rich neighborhood, providing a gated oasis with easy access to the buzzing Downtown Flushing,” said Myles Horn, Principal of Glacier Equities. “The original details as well as the pre-war layouts, which allow for much larger floor plans, cannot be replicated in ground-up new developments of today.”
All the renovated residences offer a rare combination of classic architecture and modern finishes. With only 2 to 5 units per floor, these homes resemble a quiet, close-knit neighborhood rather than a busy city condo. Oversized windows, light-filled rooms, and tall ceilings add to that sense of gentle ease.
Nearly every residence boasts lovingly preserved original fireplaces, while custom millwork and molding provide the special touches that truly make a home.
