Taste the delightful flavours of Italian cuisine in pure bliss within Hong Kong's historical and cultural marvel, Tai Kwun in Central. Here, you'll find Cantina, an Italian restaurant under the Aqua Restaurant Group, where the renowned Italian chef Matteo Caripoli has introduced new prix fixe menus offering a full choice of a la carte dishes for a fixed price.

The new menu is based on nostalgic Italian family recipes, elevated with the culinary expertise of Chef Matteo. It upholds the traditional Italian values of "following the seasons and respecting the freshest ingredients" showcasing good honest Italian cooking with a modern twist. Diners can select a full choice of à la carte dishes from the menu at a fixed price.

Authentic and flavourful appetizers include Vittello tonnato – an explosion of flavours and textures featuring slow-cooked veal with quail eggs finished with a creamy tuna and anchovy sauce. This dish is a traditional north Italian Piedmontese favourite.

BEEF CARPACCIO

The offering also includes paper-thin beef carpaccio served with seasonal mushrooms, rocket and nutty parmesan paired with horseradish dressing. 

SICILIAN RED PRAWN RISOTTO

As for pasta and risotto, the Sicilian red prawn risotto is prepared with Sicilian red prawns, topped with Stracciatella and Bronte pistachio, resulting in a rich and creamy flavour.

The homemade tortellini filled with carbonara is a dish that features incredible Parmesan cheese sauce paired with crispy guanciale., creating a unique and flavourful experience.

Another must-try is the Chicken roulade filled with chicken heart, liver and finely chopped mushrooms,  served on sautéed spinach.

MEDITERRANEAN COD FILLET

The Mediterranean-style cod fillet features cod, capers and Taggiasche olives from Liguria, chickpea purée and fresh cherry tomato sauce, creating a rich and layered flavour profile.

The lunch set menu offers two dishes priced at HK$278, three dishes at HK$348, and four dishes at HK$428. As for the dinner set menu, guests can select any two dishes from the a la carte menu for HK$428, and three dishes for HK$488, including thinly sliced Sicilian red prawns with blackfish roe and pistachios or a choice of Cantina's classic homemade pasta, accompanied by a main course such as braised beef cheek slow-cooked in red wine and served with mashed potato.
