Eastern Elegance
Altfield Gallery presents an elegant exhibition of fine antique Chinese furniture from China’s northern provinces. These exquisite pieces, ranging from 18th-century-style coffers to decorative lacquer cabinets and armchairs, draw upon aesthetic traditions that date back to the Song, Yuan and Ming dynasties.The exhibition is being staged in Prince’s Building’s Altfield Gallery and Altfield’s Aberdeen Annex showroom.

Retro Charm
SIXA, the new Cantonese restaurant inspired by Hong Kong’s culture and lifestyle from the 1960s, is designed by Steve Leung Design Group (SLD Group). The team drew inspiration from local public housing estates and parks for the interiors’ details, such as distinctive arch-shaped features, ceramic openwork screens and folding chairs. Chinese and Western cultural elements are also seamlessly integrated as seen in daring neon lights and retro pop artworks, adding a modern touch to the retro aesthetic.
