Sitting down to savour a meal is a luxury in a frantically paced city like Hong Kong, where chock-a-block workdays lead to evening cocktails and business engagements.
Lucky for us, Hong Kong is blessed with quick and affordable eateries that’ll satiate grumbling bellies. In recent months, the list of options is growing with Causeway Bay’s Mission-style burrito vendor, Little Burro, expanding to Sheung Wan; the opening of The Butchers Club Burger in Wan Chai, Bep Vietnamese Kitchen in Central and Sunday’s Grocery in Kennedy Town – a neighbourhood grocer from the people behind Yardbird, which also sells made-to-order sandwiches.
Then, there are the tried and true favourites, such as The Chinnery’s fish and chips, which is considered to be one of the best in town. And if you’re craving a spicy snack to tide you over, the samosas at Gaylord will do the trick. With causal eateries popping up at every corner, the only dilemma lies in choosing.
