Be Enticed by a Fresh Dose of Culture
Pace Gallery mounts the first exhibition in Asia dedicated to artist Mary Corse, whose unorthodox use of light as both subject and medium is widely celebrated. Her works reside in the permanent collections of institutes such as the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Guggenheim Museum in New York, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles, and more. On show through May 11.
Writing On the Wall
French textile studio Lelièvre has been curating high-end upholstery fabrics since 1914. The family-owned company takes its cues from traditional motifs and blends them with contemporary aesthetics for designs that stand the test of time. Pictured here is the Figari wallpaper, inspired by the brand’s iconic Maquis tapestry design, which features botanical elements on a canvas-effect waffle background.
Pure Intentions meet Sophisticated Functions
Offering an effective yet aesthetically pleasing way to improve air quality indoors and combat Hong Kong’s notorious pollution, Swiss-made Aeris’ new Aair unit boasts whisper-quiet yet powerful technology that’s energy-efficient, too.
Unveiled at Paris Deco Off and Maison & Objet, Martyn Lawrence Bullard’s collaborations with Corbett Lighting, the Rug Company, and Cristal & Bronze bring the sought-after celebrity interior designer’s glamorous aesthetic within reach, for those of us who don’t happen to be Hollywood A-listers.
