&TRADITION
Creating a tradition of its own
Mid-century modern design, celebrated rounded edges, and honest materials – that’s what &Tradition stands for. Founded in Copenhagen in 2010, &Tradition weaves Danish craftsmanship and sleek designs into lamps that have become timeless icons.
Take the Flowerpot series: conceived in 1968, it was inspired by the flower power movement of the late 1960s, reflecting Verner Panton's vision to shift from convention towards a more open and modern mentality. The Flowerpot series consists of several variants spanning pendants and table lamps that come in a bewildering range of colours, and which continues to make waves today.
A more recent classic, the Como SC53 by Space Copenhagen in 2020, is a rechargeable table lamp that makes a statement with its distinctive conical base contrasting beautifully with a generous shade that directs light both downward and laterally. Crafted from aluminum and available in six finishes, the Como features three brightness settings, serving equally well as a reading lamp or as an ambient light source.

TOM DIXON
The maverick who lights up British design
If London had a spirit animal for design, it might well be Tom Dixon – the self-taught maverick who has left his footprint in almost every corner of the design world: lighting, furniture, home accessories, interior spaces, and even music. For three decades, he has been serving up something distinctly British through his works: equal parts industrial grunt, creative spontaneity, and a splash of cheeky humour.
His unconventional approach and broad range of interests beyond product design prompted him to start his eponymous brand in London in 2002, after brief dalliances with rock 'n' roll and graphic design. While his sculptural Melt and muscular Beat lighting collections might be his calling card, Dixon's portfolio runs far deeper, with the iconic S-Chair and Wingback designs earning permanent spots at V&A, MoMA, and Centre Pompidou – along with the Melt and Beat series.
Two decades on, Dixon's creativity runs on. His Fat chair, Spring lights, and Swirl accessories have become design statements in their own right, while his latest works embrace portability to suit compact urban living – what he calls the "contemporary candle" for modern spaces.

SAINT-LOUIS
A royal heritage illuminating crystal-making since 1767
Founded in 1767 under Louis XV's patronage, Saint-Louis evolved from a glassware manufacturer in Müntzthal to the Royal Cristallerie in 1782. The house became renowned for exceptional crystal craftsmanship, with its traditions recognised by UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage in December 2023.
For over 250 years, Saint-Louis has excelled in colours and cuts, employing master craftsmen recognised as "Meilleurs Ouvriers de France". Its expertise spans mouth-blown crystal, hand-cutting, engraving, and precious metal decoration. The manufacturer offers various colour shades and cutting styles – from diamond to pearl, olive, star, and cord cuts.
Its latest collection, Torsade, takes tradition further with creative twists. Created by Stefania Di Petrillo, these U and loop-shaped pieces function as standalone lamps or combine into dramatic 18-light installations.

GERVASONI
A lamp that’s become a designer favourite for high-end residential projects
Founded as a wickerwork workshop in Udine, Gervasoni has grown into a global furniture brand under third-generation leaders Giovanni and Michele Gervasoni. The company, which joined luxury group Dexelance Spa in 2015, maintains production in Italy, combining industrial precision with artisanal techniques.
The Brass suspension lamp, designed by Paola Navone during her tenure as artistic director, has become a designer favourite for high-end residential projects. The design features hand-hammered brass discs in two versions: a subtle curved small disc and a dramatically contoured large disc. Each piece develops a natural patina over time, while the hammered finish creates distinctive surface patterns unique to each lamp.
The collection's popularity stems from its versatile application – architects frequently specify multiple units for dramatic ceiling installations, while single pendants serve as focal points in intimate spaces. The warm, golden reflections from the brass surface have made it particularly sought-after in contemporary minimalist interiors, where it adds warmth without compromising clean aesthetics.
