In 2016, Bangkok eclipsed tourist top-spots London and Paris as the most visited city in the world. Whether it’s the lip-smacking culinary scene, the opportunity to cop a bargain at one of the many markets, the wave of design-led boutiques, bars and hang-outs that have popped up in recent years, or simply the kindness of the local people that keep people coming back, there’s no denying the allure of Thailand’s capital.
Now, leading Thai developer Sansiri offers you the opportunity to own a spectacular slice of the Big Mango with the launch of its flagship condominium, 98 Wireless. Standing proud near the intersection of Ploenchit and Witthayu Roads, next door to the American ambassador’s luxuriant residence, a stone’s throw from luxury malls and five-star hotels, and minutes from the verdant tranquility of Lumphini Park, the development is set to become one of Bangkok’s hottest properties.
Realised by locally-headquartered architecture firm Design Worldwide Partnership, the Beaux-Arts-inspired monolith makes an aesthetic impact amid the glass and steel cityscape of the modern metropolis. The elegance of its Portuguese limestone façade also pervades the exquisite interiors, with communal spaces designed by New York-based studio Anne Carson Interiors.

Fitted out in Ralph Lauren Home furnishings and a curated assemblage of vintage pieces, the grand reception area, business lounge and tea room each possess a distinct aesthetic while exuding understated luxury, each within a distinct aesthetic. In the double-height lobby, light streams in through floor-to-ceiling windows and illuminates the Moleanos limestone flooring, the enormous handmade chandelier from Ralph Lauren Home, a round table made from rosewood and brass dating back to 1815, and a sculpture by British artist Anne Curry, among other select items. Upstairs, the tea room evokes the tranquility of a European salon, while the business lounge oozes masculine appeal with mahogany panelling and brass elements.
The same attention to detail has been applied to each of the property’s 77 units, which includes two penthouses, one of which occupies the top two levels of the building and has already been snapped up. Fittings and furnishings in the two- or three-bedroom apartments feature hand-crafted brass handles from Baldwin, SieMatic kitchenware, appliances from Gaggenau, Sub-Zero refrigerators and wine cabinets, bathrooms by Kallista and faucets from Lefroy Brooks.
Residents can also enjoy access to a Bentley in racing green, valet parking and a concierge service provided by Quintessentially, honouring the developer’s motto that the best comes as standard.
