The Leisure and Cultural Services Department joins hands with K11 Group, Kerry Group and Sino Group to create “Art@Harbour”, a large-scale outdoor art project aimed to reinvigorate the Victoria harbourfront from now to December 18.
Marking the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the HKSAR, “Art@Harbour” features a diversity of art installations by local and overseas artists along the promenades of Victoria Harbour from June 23 to December 18.
The project contains four art programmes. “The Hong Kong Jockey Club Series: Science in Art” has invited a roster of international artists to create nine sets of large-scale outdoor art installations in Tamar Park and the Central and Western District Promenade.
The K11-orchestrated “Symphony of the Future” is a hybrid space combining the physical and digital, where visitors can interact with new futuristic creations in the forms of sound, music, video, Augmented Reality technology, as well as sculptures and installations.
Kerry Group's "Blossoming Hong Kong” will present digital art façades at the Kowloon Shangri-La and the Kerry Hotel hotels. Meanwhile, Sino Group is launching the "Heart to Heart" digital art façades at Tsim Sha Tsui Centre, Empire Centre and China Hong Kong City. The artworks on both sides of Victoria Harbour enrich the celebratory ambience of the city, injecting vibrancy and innovation into the harbourfront.
