Countess Bergit Douglas and the architecture firm MM-design have curated three new Presidential Suites at Le Bristol Paris that are serene, warm and full of classic elegance.
Embodying the spirit of Paris, these three expansive hideaways in the heart of Paris recently joined the list of Le Bristol’s Signature Suites. There, the delicate interiors of Pierre Frey, Colefax and Jane Churchill dress each room, infusing the spaces with a sense of sophistication and tranquillity. Designed as private pieds-à-terre, the three apartments are bathed in swathes of light and bedecked with Louis XVI furniture and original works of art in refined touches.
The subtle woodwork is painted in shades of cream, sky blue or celadon green; an eighteenth-century painting commands attention above a soft-toned sofa covered with Parma silk cushions. Next to a floor-to-ceiling window dressed in Manuel Canovas curtains, a Louis XV desk makes you want to pen about Paris. That is, unless you succumb to the bedroom’s soothing calm and inviting king-sized bed.
Though each of the one to three-bedrooms suite is decorated with its own unique character, they all present 120 to 250 square metres of comfort, with impressive corner views over one of Paris’ most exclusive fashion streets.
At the Bristol, one wouldn’t want to miss out on the chance to practice a little French art of living. So indulge in a cocktail in the wonderful new courtyard garden planted with orange trees and roses; dive into the swimming pool overlooking the Parisian rooftops; or tuck into a ceviche made with marinated royal sea bream by triple Michelin-starred Chef Eric Frechon on the garden terrace as the sun sets.
