Taking its name and very soul from Diptyque’s first-ever address, the 34 boulevard Saint-Germain line is the living memory of the Maison’s iconic shop in Paris.
In the heart of the Latin QuarterIt, 34 boulevard Saint-Germain is where Desmond Knox-Leet, Christiane Montadre-Gautrot and Yves Coueslant established the first Diptyque boutique in 1961. Its warm, sophisticated décor abounds with beautiful objects and rare finds brought back from faraway places, personifying the unique charm of Paris.
Paying tribute to the legendary address, 34 boulevard Saint-Germain is the only Diptyque fragrance that is all at once woody, floral, spicy and herbaceous, and its latest additions further reconnect with Diptyque’s heritage and pioneering art of living.
Previously only available in an extra-large size, 34 boulevard Saint-Germain candles now also come in two iconic formats: the medium size candle in a hand-blown glass container, lacquered in opalescent white; and the large candle in a matte, white glazed porcelain container with the iconic 34 oval engraving.
Meanwhile, the limited edition 34 boulevard Saint-Germain scented oval – ideal for scenting small spaces such as drawers, closets and other enclosed places – sports an elegant pompom reminiscent of a curtain tieback, and also of the pearls on the necklaces that Montadre- Gautrot used to design and sell in the historic boutique.
