Following the continued success of the prominent art fairs Frieze New York and Frieze London, Frieze Los Angeles made its debut earlier this month from February 15 through February 17. Taking place at Paramount Pictures Studios, the inaugural edition featured over 70 local and international contemporary art galleries over the course of the fair, as well as numerous events that highlight Los Angeles’ dynamic culture and ever-evolving creative community. Independent curator Ali Subotnick, formerly of Los Angeles’s Hammer Museum, invited artists including Lisa Anne Auerbach, Sarah Cain, Catharine Czudej, and Barbara Kruger, to name a few, to present site-specific projects.
