The new art gallery and event space is showcasing opening exhibitions by photographer Wing Shya, Hong Kong conceptual artist Syan “MCYan”, and British contemporary artist David Kaye.
Established by Matt Chung and Samson Ko, the Haus of Contemporary has opened its doors, bringing a bevy of artistic talents including internationally renowned photographer and director Wing Shya, artist Syan “MC Yan”, and British contemporary artist David Kaye to the centre of Hong Kong.
Spanning 3,000 square metres across six storeys at 9 On Lan Street, Central, the Haus of Contemporary, will be hosting a trio of exhibitions from 8 to 26 June in celebration of the opening. Through curated art shows and innovative programmes, the Haus team aims to provide an immersive experience for visitors to dive into the vibrant, artistic realm.
“The Haus of Contemporary is a one-stop creative hub that has never been seen in Hong Kong. In our 10 years of art and soul searching journey, we have seen an education and information mismatch in the digital era we live in. We strive to introduce a diverse range of art to all types of audiences,” says co-founder Matt Chung.
