If you follow Asian design, you’ve most likely heard of Joyce Wang. She first began turning heads when she pioneered the luxurious, industrial-chic designs of fine dining establishments such as Mott 32 and Ammo, and has since gone on to create beautiful spaces for esteemed F&B and hospitality clients in her hometown of Hong Kong and beyond, including the likes of The Hollywood Roosevelt hotel in Los Angeles.
Most recently, Joyce was commissioned to do a complete redesign of the 120 suites at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, with the aim of infusing the hotel with understated elegance and comfort. In addition to the refurb, she was also tasked with creating new VIP suites – sumptuous spaces that will have guests rushing to extend their vacations (and staycations) by another day.

THE ENTERTAINMENT SUITE
If it’s entertaining you’re after, book yourself into the Entertainment Suite. The largest of the hotel’s offerings, it is a massive 2,250sqft, accommodating plenty of guests and making socialising a breeze. The suite is furnished with all the state-of-the-art technology and alcoholic concoctions one could require for a weekend getaway. Enter the main living area and you’ll find an entertainment wall equipped with what are dubbed the Cabinets of Delight. They’re filled with various amenities and services designed to surprise and excite, from boutique wines on tap and a mixologist dispensary to a popcorn machine and a vitrine filled with canapés created by one of the hotel’s chefs.
