Back in town for the second year in a row and right on time for Hong Kong’s art month, L’École Van Cleef & Arpels will be offering 10 certificate courses for jewellery and watchmaking enthusiasts from 4-14 March.
Enrol in one of the many afternoon and evening classes to immerse yourselves in the world of L’École Van Cleef & Arpels, as the school travels from Paris to set up shop at PMQ. The airy, light-filled interiors of the pop-up academy was designed by Johnny Li, managing director of LI&Co. Design Limited.
The academy’s instructors provide expert knowledge on fine jewellery with courses that cover three categories: Savoir-Faire offers hands-on classes for students interested in learning the tricks of the trade, from design and mock-up to gem-setting. The Universe of Gemstones offers courses ideal for those who want to deepen their knowledge and ability to appraise precious stones. Meanwhile, Art History of Jewellery tells the fascinating stories behind the world’s most famous jewels spanning the treasures of Mughal emperors and Napoleon to modern-day collectors, including the legendary gems of the late Elizabeth Taylor.
