Named after the eighth largest moon of Jupiter, the minimal lamp appeals with its simplicity and a geometric design mimicking the trajectory of the planets within the universe.
Inspired by the sublime beauty and mysteries of the universe, contemporary Italian lighting brand Lodes’ new standalone suspension lamp Elara, by Slovenian designer Nika Zupanc, is a minimal yet sculptural creation.
Taking cues from astral motion, the lamp is characterised by two metal rings, one of which can be set at various angles to produce fluidity and movement, and a small sphere at the bottom of the lamp that's the light source.
And the best part? You can position the central ring to any height and angle to experiment with casting light and shadows. Which is why Elara works both as a stand-alone light or together with multiple lamps in one room.
